TEAM ASSIST - CONVEYOR OVERHAUL
Team Assist was recently used to support a major conveyor rebuild for a UK recycling plant. The client needed to strip out a damaged conveyor bed, rebuild the support structure and install a new heavy‑duty belt, all within a tight shutdown window. Our engineers joined the in‑house maintenance team on site, working under their permits and procedures. We helped remove the old bed sections, fabricate and install new wear-resistant bed plates, realign the stringers, and fit and track the new belt. Because Team Assist provided extra skilled labour at a discounted rate, the plant completed the work within the planned outage, avoided emergency downtime, and returned the line to service with improved tracking, reduced spillage and a safer working area around the conveyor.
TEAM ASSIST - Confined Space
Team Assist was also used to support a confined space maintenance job at a household waste facility. The client needed additional competent personnel to act as both confined space entrants and top man, while still keeping their own team focused on critical production tasks.
Our engineers integrated into the site’s permit-to-work system, completed all required confined space and rescue checks, and worked alongside the client’s supervisors. Team Assist provided trained personnel to manage entry control, communications and atmosphere monitoring as top man, while additional Butler engineers carried out internal inspection, cleaning and mechanical repairs. By using Team Assist, the client maintained full compliance with confined space regulations, reduced risk to their own staff, and completed the work safely within the planned outage window.”
